Opportunity: Waldorf Food & Wine Weekends

Opportunity: Every fall since 1995, Walt Disney World hosts the ultimate foodie festival - the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

The festival is bigger and better every year, and always makes the travel calendars and food festival round up stories. With the influx of visitors over the six-week festival, was there a way for Waldorf Astoria to lure the "foodie" crowd to their doorstep?

Solution: We created Food & Wine Weekends at Waldorf Astoria. The annual event (which still runs every fall), features special food & wine programming at the resort, meant to complement the Epcot festival experience.

Although not officially affiliated with the Epcot festival, Waldorf Food & Wine Weekends gave the hotel an opportunity to be included in stories (and social recaps) about the annual festival. As more than a package, food writers and bloggers have treated the Waldorf experience as a "hidden secret" they can't wait to share.

Waldorf's upscale food experiences are social media ready, especially Bar du Chocolat, a decadent Friday night arrival experience I envisioned with the help of the F&B team.
